Tod Cutler – 14th Century Medieval Quillon Dagger – sharp

Tod Cutler’s Medieval 14th Century Quillon dagger takes it design and proportions from many well documented examples and has a classic and characteristic slightly swept guard matched with a wheel pommel; a design that is well rooted to the 14th Century. It is a sidearm that would be seen at the waist of a knight or professional man at arms. The blade is forged from tempered EN45 high carbon steel with a diamond cross section to give the blade considerable rigidity. The grip is wood with a tight wrap of dark brown leather and the quillon and pommel are crafted from steel. A peen over the pommel finishes the dagger with a solid assembly of the blade to the hilt. A double-layer sheath of high quality, vegetable-tanned leather with a brass chape completes the dagger.
