A beautiful early Lea Stein Serigraphy Art Deco Head of a Woman brooch, capturing the elegance and graphic refinement that define her most collectable work. The finely detailed female profile reflects strong Art Deco influence, rendered in layered laminated lucite with striking clarity and depth. This example is fitted with the classic V-shaped French roll-over clasp used on Lea Stein pieces. As an early production brooch, the clasp is marked “West Germany”, dating it prior to 1989. Once assembled in Paris, the “Made in France” label was applied, and this brooch still retains its original Lea Stein label. Lea and Fernand Stein have produced their distinctive jewellery since the 1960s, with serigraphy brooches among the earliest and most sought-after of her creations. Presented in excellent condition. Dimensions approximately: 5.4cm diameter x 1cm deep including pin; total mass 13.4gm.
