An outstanding original Lea Stein brooch depicting the iconic Art Deco Lady Head with full collarette and dark blue Deco skull cap — a classic design recognised worldwide. Created in layered French lucite, this example features multiple shades of blue, a soft beige face with pearl glow, and a finely lined pearlised background. The construction comprises six gloss-finished layers, including radiating blue patterned triangles. Each layer displays its own internal pattern, with the head, skull cap, ear and bold disc earring formed from four carefully laminated sections. The signature imprinted star defines the eye. To the reverse is the original V-shaped French roll-over clasp, clearly hallmarked LEA STEIN / PARIS and in fine working order. The brooch also retains its original gold foil MADE IN FRANCE label. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or visible wear. Dimensions approximately: 5.5cm diameter x 1.2cm deep including clasp; total mass 11.5gm. Lea Stein, Paris, France.
