This Native American Ball Club is handcrafted from hardwood; with care and skill, its craftsman carved a beaver atop the club. Clubs such as this were widespread among Native American warriors of the Eastern Woodlands and the Great Lakes and commonly featured animal motifs; an inspired homage from the animals familiar to their woodland homes. Not simply a work of art these light and hard-hitting clubs were well-capable of crushing the bones of an enemy in times of war.
