Description Egg shell guinomi is intriguing, unique and ultra thin Arita porcelain. “Egg Shell” was been produced between Edo and Meiji Era in Japan for the export to Europe. Due to its delicate and thin form made with porcelain, it was called “Egg Shell” and it was extremely popular. Its production was once ceased 100 years ago, but revived by Yamahei Kiln in Arita city. It is a proper Arita Porcelain, which densification was done at 1300C. It is as thin as 1mm, it looked almost like a light bulb but durable. Its white colour is emphasised with a simple design and surface texture resembles of “Cocoon”. It is smooth and comfortable to hold, and it will make your sake experience rather special one. “Hirahai” is one of traditional sake cup shapes, where the design is shallow, enhancing the delicateness of Egg Shell nature. This particular shape makes sake taste drier and more refreshing as sake will hits back of your tongue as well as the sides.
