Bizen Hidasugi Sake Set (1 Tokkuri & 2 Choko)

Description A set of a Tokkuri and two Choko. Among oldest 6 potteries such as Seto, Tokoname, Tamba, Echizen, Shigaraki, Bizen, Bizen is the oldest. It has never stopped its production over 1000 years. It is keeping its No-Glaze baking, out-tightening policy with climbing kiln and pine firewood since the origin. Hidasugi pattern is achieved by putting rice straws around non-glazed surface, creating reddish colour pattern. It could be only achieved by disturbing direct flame, so it used to be one of the most difficult technique to be used.
