Description Lent is a season in which we deepen our friendship with Jesus. In this five-week retreat, contemplate the friends of Jesus from the Gospels. Some of these friends are well-known, such as His Mother, Mary, and the Beloved Disciple; others are often overlooked, such as Nicodemus and Zacchaeus. As you come to know Jesus' friends – both saints and sinners alike – you will learn how to grow in trust and friendship with Jesus, even in moments of doubt and weakness. Once Easter arrives, you will have discovered a Friend who invites you to His table to drink His wine, who washes your feet, lies peacefully next to you, is with you in fear and darkness, dies forgiving you and rises to say He will be with you always.
