Medieval Pauldrons – Mountable Upgrade for Chainmail and Padded Armor – 16 Gauge Steel – Lord of Battles

This pair of pauldrons give able protection to the shoulders and their leather edging gives chafe protection to your arming garment or plate armor with leather cut in a fashionably medieval form. More lightweight than larger and more cumbersome forms, these pauldrons are ideal for lacing onto padded armor or onto chainmail where their close fit and less bulky and weighty form will minimize pulling on and bunching up the chainmail or padded armor it is fastened onto. The armor is crafted in robust 16 gauge steel and its leather banding is solidly riveted into position. These armor pieces are worn by anchoring them onto an arming garment, gambeson, chainmail shirt, gorget or breastplate by fastening their upper leather tab into position with sturdy lacing of leather or cloth (not included). A sturdy steel buckle and thick leather strap secures the armor to the upper arms. Our photos display an arming doublet (not included) being used as the backing for this armor, but chainmail can be easily used as well by lacing the pauldron through open rings. Typing them directly onto and around the shoulder of a gorget or breastplate can also allow for a secure placement for these pauldrons.
