Age of Craft – Buhurt Optimized Nuremberg Plate Mittens with Suede Gloves – 18 to 19 Gauge Steel

These robustly crafted gauntlets are crafted from tough and well-tempered 18 to 19 gauge steel and are fantastically well articulated for optimal hand movement; they are ideal for hard-hitting HMB sport fighting and other medieval combat sports. The 15th century design of these gauntlets are taken from a pair depicted on a medieval German statue in Nuremberg and this segmented clamshell design was both an advanced and highly protective design for its time. This version from Age of Craft improves on this with additional plate protection that goes around the tip of the thumb for notably improved protection The interior of the gauntlet is fitted with an integrated suede glove for a comfortable liner and the cuff is lined with tough leather for chafe prevention.
