I find these rocks to be visually appealing, especially when placed in water. They differ from the small smooth rocks typically associated with “pea gravel,” resembling more of a small crushed gravel. The size of the pieces leads me to believe that they are unlikely to cause harm to most fish or other aquatic animals. The bag I received had a hole in one of the seams, possibly due to poor sealing.
