An Art Deco Revival Gold and Black Pierre Bex Brooch

A fine vintage Art Deco Revival brooch by Pierre Bex of Paris, showcasing his distinctive approach to bold geometric design and richly applied enamel. The composition features a golden patinated ground beneath deep, clear enamel, contrasted with high-gloss black enamel forming an asymmetrical bow motif to either side, with a central black circular element completing the design. The cloisonné-style ribbon work is executed with precision, creating strong linear movement and striking contrast. While Pierre Bex is well known for his angular, triangular and cubic forms, this example presents a slightly more uncommon variation, adding to its appeal. The reverse retains a patinated chrome finish, fitted with a sprung pin and French roll-over clasp, all in excellent working order. The enamel work is in superb condition, with no losses or damage, and the piece presents beautifully. A refined and highly wearable example of Pierre Bex’s signature Art Deco aesthetic.
