A French Art Deco table lamp featuring a finely crafted hand-wrought iron base with a signed Muller Frères glass shade. The shade displays the characteristic mottled colours and soft diffusion of light for which Muller Frères is renowned, transitioning from amber to lilac with naturalistic undertones. The ironwork base showcases geometric and scrollwork motifs, typical of early 20th-century French iron artistry. Muller Frères, established in Lunéville, France, was one of the foremost glassmakers of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. The company was founded by Henri Muller and his brothers in the late 19th century, many of whom had worked with Émile Gallé. By the 1920s, Muller Frères had become known for their vibrant glass, often acid-etched or wheel-carved, and for producing exceptional lighting in collaboration with wrought iron artists. Their signed works remain highly sought after by collectors for their quality and design. This lamp stands 38.5 cm high. The base measures approximately 14 cm wide and 12.5 cm deep. An elegant and authentic period piece that reflects the innovation and refinement of French Art Deco design.
