The title is taken from John 20:31, a summary statement on purpose of John’s Gospel. Unlike the 3 synoptic gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke, John’s Gospel is different, as an apologetic gospel with a focus on enlisting faith in the reader using miracles as a main proof of Jesus deity. These miracles prove Jesus’s deity and if one believes in Him as Lord and Savior, they also will gain eternal life by believing. It is just that simple, unearned but as result of simple belief. This book is short and a good tool for evangelism and outreach. This approach is still desperately needed when so many books today are merely academic and not always helpful to the average person seeking to find simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
