A fabulous piece of Lalique history. A beautiful peach-toned Lalique crystal Cat Face brooch, fully bezel set in solid Sterling Silver. The cat brooch was introduced in 1990 by Marie-Claude Lalique and was her first crystal brooch design, beautifully styled in the form of a cat’s face. A striking and elegant Goebel Arts Orbis black glass vase featuring Wasserschlangen II (Sea Serpents II), inspired by the celebrated work of Gustav Klimt. This tall, sculptural form provides a dramatic backdrop for the sinuous female figure and richly detailed decorative motifs, beautifully highlighted with golden accents against the deep black ground. The design wraps gracefully around the slender, flared body, with stylised flowing hair, ornamental spirals and intricate patterning capturing the essence of Klimt’s distinctive aesthetic. The high gloss finish enhances both depth and colour, creating a truly eye-catching display piece. Clearly marked to the base: Goebel – Arts Orbis – Wasserschlangen II – Inspired by Gustav Klimt. In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration noted. A superb statement vase for collectors of Klimt-inspired works or quality European art glass.
