A striking Art Deco fruit knife set comprising six beautifully crafted knives with luminous Mother of Pearl handles and STAHL-BRONZE hallmarked blades. The blades are formed from a bronze and steel alloy, engineered to be sharp, durable and resistant to wear — likely an early precursor to stainless steel. The set remains in remarkable condition for its age. The original silver-plated stand retains a soft, attractive patina, with only minor surface wear to the top of the handle consistent with use. The stand is firm and structurally sound. Each knife is professionally manufactured in the robust German tradition, featuring a strong double-riveted tang and precisely executed construction. The blades remain sharp and hold their edge well. The Mother of Pearl handles are free from chips or losses and present beautifully.
